Golf course circular path.
The Creag Bheag golf course circular path runs around the foot of the mountain, and as such it is subjected to all the rain fall running off. The path was very muddy and very rocky which made it a treacherous and difficult path to walk on.
COAT where tasked by the Kingussie Community District Council (KCDC) to improve this path without destroying its character, but to construct a path that was sympathetic to the rugged surroundings. We achieved this by building sections of stone causeways, and through the worst areas, where drainage was a severe problem, using a stepping stone type construction to allow the water to pass around and to remain lower than the finished path height. |
