Ben Nevis phase 3.
After not being involved in the 2nd phase, McGowans ltd contracted us to help on a significant portion of this third and final stage for the Nevis Partnership.
For this section all the stone was flown in after being brought in from a quarry were the materials were type matched for the Ben.
This section contained one of the worst collapsed sections of the old path with considerable water erosion around the outside of the old path which had eventually caused it to collapse.
Significant revetment was required before the construction of each section could even begin. Once again a min width of 2m with very large stones with a good sized tread was required to deal with the huge visitor numbers to this iconic Scottish Mountain.
